Whitewater Rafting Fayetteville West Virginia
Some of the adventure team went down to brave the New River Gorge last week! All I can say is WOW! This would be my 3rd time whitewater rafting and by far the most thrilling! Adventures on the Gorge was our host and guide! Ray Ray put on a hell of a show for us! The water wasn’t super high like the spring and fall but at a level that gave you tons of fun features. We hit a few class 5 rapids and many class 4’s. I learned on this trip that the class level isn’t always the size, but chance of death and danger. For example some of the large rocks had cut outs beneath them and could be a major hazard if you flipped in that area. Our guide “Ray Ray” was at the top of his game informing us about the river, the coal history, and PLENTY OF LAUGHS! I am always jealous of the rafting guides who get to do this type of thing for a living!

We camped at Rifrafters, which was a very nice clean, family owned campground! This put us 10 minutes from Adventures on the Gorge location to meet our guide service. We bought some of the pro photography and video that can be seen in this video and photos below. I shot all the first person stuff with GoPro Hero 7 mounted to the rafting companies helmet.
