Unbound Gravel 100 Winner-David Brower | VIDEO INTERVIEW IN BLOG!
Formerly known as Dirty Kanza, Unbound Gravel, is one of the most epic and premiere gravel races in the world! Located in Emporia, Kansas, cyclists ride through miles of gravel roads and dirt trails that push even the most elite cyclists to their limits. There are multiple distances making it a race anyone can participate in. The 200-mile distance is legendary, but the 100-mile is nothing to scoff at either! This is one of those events where professional cyclists and amateurs alike flock for the prestige of finishing! There are nearly 4,000 racers between all distances and the event takes place over 4 days! It’s truly a celebration of gravel riding and racing!
Local phenom, David Brower, with Bissell ABG Cycling, snuck in a win on the 100-mile race! He’s well-known in the Michigan MTB and gravel scene and rode and raced for years in the MiSCA series putting himself on the podium several times. We’ve watched him ride and race growing up, and it is cool to see a local kid on such a big stage! Now racing at the college level at Marian College, he’s having a season to remember as he moves into his sophomore year. His last three races have earnered two wins and a top 10, and he’s just getting started. We had him over to talk about college, his Unbound race, Lumberjack 100, and where he’s headed for the rest of the season. Hear it all in our latest video!
